TOURNAMENT RULES
1. RULES OF THE GAME
A. The 4th ThessCup Basketball Tournament will be held under the Official Basketball Rules 2014 and all decisions will be consistend with them.
B. Exceptionally, zone defense, full-cort zone press defense and double team defense will be forbidden. Man to man defense is allowed half and full court normally. If the referees realise that any team is using any of the forbideen types of defense, they will charge them with a violation.
C. Exceptionally, all teams are allowed to use up to fifteen (15) athletes during any game.
2. ATHLETES AGE
A. All athletes participating in the tournament should be born strictly on 2003 or 2004.
B. All athletes should have an official form of proof for theit age, whether it being a National Federation athlete card, birth certificate or I.D. card.
3. REFEREES
A. Two (2) referees from the Union of Basketball Referees of Thessaloniki will officiate every game.
B. Every game will have three (3) table officials.
TOURNAMENT BENEFITS
1. STATISTICS
All games will be covered by a statistics service. The statistics of every game will be uploaded just after game end. The statistics will also be added up to a full classified list for every awarded category, as well as the top 10 players in every category in a full page. All statistics will be renewed just after a game ends.
2. MEDICAL COVERAGE
There will be medical coverage for First Aid in every game of the Tournament.
3. TEAM BENEFITS
Every athlete will recieve a tournament T-shirt, a flyer of the tournament and participation certificate. In addition, water bottles will be offered to all teams during the tournament.
4. AWARDS & GIFTS
All participating teams will recieve a Participation Trophy. The first three teams will recieve Victory Trophies, while athletes and coaches will recieve Gold, Silver and Bronze medal for first, second and third place respetively. A Trophy and a Gift will also be awarded to the M.V.P., to the Top Scorer, Top Rebounder, Top Assister and Top Stealer, as well as to the "ThessCup" Best Five players. The M.V.P. and the "ThessCup" Best Five will be declared by a voting procedure of the coaches.
5. LIVESCORE & LIVESTATS
The Tournament will have a livescore and livestats service for every game through this website. The website is compatible and available to mobile devices (smartphones and tablets).
